The event will now take place on Thursday 15th August. Meeting place is the Burton Layby just past the Co-op on the Dunure Road and first rider will be off at 7pm. Victory for Rory at Lothian Flyer Road Race
Ayr Roads own Rory Webster was the winner at this years' 50 mile Lothian flyer road race. Aided and abetted by club mates Calum MacDonald, Graham McLeod and Iain Fisher. The race comprised for a 5 lap circuit around Skirling in the Borders. Leading from the front, the pace driven by Calum and Graham allowed the Roads riders to take control during the final lap and Rory was able to time his sprint to perfection for his 2nd victory of the year. Graham's performance was also sufficient for him to take first prize in his category. A huge congratulations from the Club to Rory and the rest of the team.

CTT National 10 Mile TT - A Huge Success!
After months of planning by our own Michael Curran and Dave Walker from Fullarton Wheelers both clubs hosted a hugely successful event over the Eglinton course on 1st and 2nd of September.
The Juniors and Senior Women's races were run in damp conditions on the Saturday, but despite this some very quick times were recorded and the feedback on the course was extremely positive. The junior girls title was lifted by Elynor Backstedt in a time of 21 minutes 11 seconds. The boys gold was won by Joshua Sandman who was also racing for the Backstedt team. His time of 19 minutes and 26 seconds was simply staggering. In the Women's race Anna Turvey topped the field with a 20:26, with Natalie Hunter of the Fullarton Wheelers recording a strong time of 24:18 for one of the host clubs while Ayr Roads new recruit Jennifer George finished 11th overall riding for Team Torelli-Brother.
On Sunday the attention moved to the men's race with a very strong field in evidence including Marcin Bialoblocki, Harry Tanfield and Scotland's own John Archibald. In drier but windier conditions Archibald riding for Ribble Cycles delivered a triumphant home victory, winning by a mere 3 seconds over Bialoblocki in a time of 18 minutes 18 seconds which is a new Scottish record. Archibald's teammate Simon Wilson rounded off the podium in 3rd. Graeme Obree was on hab to present the medals across both days.
From an Ayr Roads perspective Alex McAllister took the over 60's gold medal with Mark Warters also winning his category.
