ARCC Summer Events

Ayr Roads Cycling Club are promoting two summer events.  The first, an event open to all clubs and riders will be an attempt to ascend all 16 Ayrshire Alp 'cols'.  There was a a terrific turnout last year for this challenging 129 mile ride which is back by popular demand on the 2nd of June.  Signing up for this will be perfect preparation for is the annual A to B ride.  Scheduled over 2 days (30th June-1st July), the route starts from Ayr, via Dunoon and Inveraray to Ballachulish for an overnight stay.  The ride is roughly 130 miles with a modest (for the distance) 6,000 feet of climbing.  On the Sunday we will make the return journey to Ayr via a coastal route, with a brief visit to Arran on the way.  For those wishing to ride part of the journey, we are looking for up to 4 support van drivers, who can ride some of the event and also share the driving.  For full details and to sign up for either ride contact the club via either the Whatsapp group or the club email
