Welcome to the official website of the Ayr Roads Cycling Club, one of the most active cycling clubs in the West of Scotland. Established in 1930, members enjoy all aspects of cycle sport, from road racing, time trialing and cyclocross to MTB. 

Our membership includes former regional, national and UCI medallists, although we warmly welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities.

Weekly Rides:  

  • Starting Soon - Thursday  7pm  Alloway Training Laps (all welcome - Lights and reflective clothing)
  • Saturday - Monkton Cross 9.45 for a 10am start (All riders/clubs welcome)
  • Sunday 9.30am Beresford Terrace - Sunday Social Club Run (all welcome)

Winter Rides

Keep an eye on this page, Facebook and WhatsApp for details of social and training rides over the winter months.  The leisurely paced Sunday Run complete with coffee stop will continue, leaving Beresford Terrace at 9.30am every Sunday.  Also look out for a Tuesday training circuit starting in the next few weeks comprising of a number of laps starting at Burns Cottage car park (Front and Rear lights are required during this ride).  Saturday morning training rides leaving Monkton Cross at 10am will also be starting up in the next week or so.  Our Chairman, Alex McAllister, is also running Cyclocross training sessions at the Irvine Beach Park during the week.
